The class of Adolfo Fiore: a Trentino man with a Neapolitan heart

Adolfo Fiore born in 1999 is a central point and, over the years, he has had the opportunity to serve in various teams, including those in his city: Trento. We are talking about a promising boy who presents himself in a humble way, but, at the same time, stubborn as he appears eager to reach his goals with the aim of being able to wear the coveted jersey of one of his favorite clubs, such as the Naples. Although very young, his maturity leads him to reflection and weighting, as well as improvement in terms of performance in order to be able to serve, one day (not very far) even in overseas teams.

When did you start playing football?

“I started playing football quite late compared to all the people I know or who have embarked on this sporting path. Since, at the beginning, I didn’t have the availability and, above all, I didn’t have a team close to home and, therefore, not being able to travel too much, I waited until middle school, so at the age of 13/14 I started playing " .

Subsequently, what were the companies in which you played?

“In Trentino Alto Adige I was in the youth academy, I was pupils and, for the first time, in the Mattarello Calcio. The following summer, we all moved to Azzurra San Bartolomeo as we couldn’t complete the team and, at that point, the students of Azzurra and Mattarello merged to pass all to Azzurra (for the 'precisely ed.). Then, from the students I passed to the juniores of the Azzurra first team and, in the end, the last team before Covid (since I was later released) was Virtus Trento ".

Where would you have liked or in which club do you hope to be able to play?

“My favorite team is Napoli, where I would like to play there one day. The apex and the team I wish to reach is precisely that. Meanwhile, a team I am looking for could also be Trento, or the team from the city where I live or from the teams that are very well known in these parts. Right now, I'd also like to go around a bit to find a place where I can be comfortable ".

Can we take Napoli as a reference and, therefore, as if it were your favorite team or are there others you prefer?

“Napoli are my favorite team. It is the team I support. Of course, I like other teams too. In Italy, there are Milan and Juventus who are strong or, if I have to talk about teams, there is Borussia Dortmund which, among other things, is a team that values young people as much as Bellingham for example. However, if I were to go to England, a team that I really like is Liverpool or teams that play good football like Leicester. Teams that cheer you up even simply by wading them while they play a match ".

On the other hand, who is your favorite footballer or the one you are inspired by?

“As a child my favorite footballer has always been Lavezzi, having also played for Napoli in those years, and he was one of the best players in that club. In recent years, if, on the other hand, I had to refer to a footballer who inspired me, I would have to say: Ibrahimovic. He is a striker, as is my role, he always manages to give his best as well as encouraging his teammates in the locker room and his importance on the pitch is always decisive. It was decisive when he played in Italy and it was also decisive in France, England and now it is in Milan. "An excellent choice.

As you foretold and as highlighted on Top Player Scouting, you are a central point. But have you always held this role?

“Let's say I started as a central striker, then, due to the coach's needs, we played three in front, so for two seasons I played as a high right winger and a high left winger. Then, in the first team, I moved back a little to the midfield always on the outside as we were playing with a 4-4-2 and, therefore, as there was a need on that band, I moved back to the midfield on the right. In the last period, when I was at Virtus Trento I also held the role of midfielder. But basically my main role is the central point. I think I’m much better at shooting than staying behind ”.

What do you think, instead, of our national team?

"What is there to say? This year they won the European Championship, therefore, they are the strongest (national) team in Europe at the moment. " Who was your favorite? “My favorite was Jorginho, because he was omnipresent in midfield. In addition, in the matches where we went to penalties, as he has been a penalty shooter since playing for Hellas Verona, he was crucial when we got to kicks from 11 meters. If I had to tell you a couple that I liked, him above all, then, looking a little ahead: Insigne was decisive against Belgium, but also Spinazzola, as, before his injury, without him there would have been a bit of difficulty on that band ".

Although you have already given me an answer indirectly, it would be curious to know if you would like to play here in Italy or would you like to go abroad, perhaps in America in MLS?

"At this precise moment, my goal is directed and aimed above all at Italy. I think I am not yet ready to go far from where my home is also for an emotional question (at this moment). Honestly, I wouldn't mind MLS at all. Looking overseas, if I had to choose a team I would like to play for it would be the Los Angeles Galaxy or Miami FC which I often follow and love to watch. But if at the moment I had to decide between abroad and Italy, I would choose Italy. Obviously, anything can happen in life, so whether it is Germany, Spain, England or the United States, if there is a proposal that pleases me and I will have the availability and, also, the mental maturity to be able to take that step, for sure. I'll think about it and I'll do it ".
