Pharma accelerating new partnership development at CPhI Discover ahead of returning in-person events

The second week of CPhI Discover is open amid news that both the Italian and French governments have confirmed they will allow trade shows to resume – providing formal confirmation for both CPhI Worldwide and Pharmapack Europe.
The last year has seen pharma evolve its approach to meeting new partners and existing customers, with wider pools of suppliers now needed, and remote and virtual networking being used to begin conversations much earlier than in the past. The second week of the event is specifically designed as a synergistic digital platform to empower the industry with tools to meet new partners remotely, but also, to maximise the value they get from future in person events by helping evaluate more partners in advance and pre-qualify the best leads.
“There’s been a shift in the way pharma sources new leads and moving forward, we expect to see pharma companies with the highest growth rates utilising a multi-platform approach, especially as the industry expands and competition for the best partners increases. Practically, this means starting conversations with new customers much earlier and ensuring companies fully maximise the value they get from one of their most precious commodities, the events they attend in person,” commented Cara Turner, Brand Director at Informa Markets.
In a further boon to the pharma industry, it was formally confirmed earlier this month by both the Italian and French governments that live events can be held, confirming plans for CPhI Worldwide (9-11 November) and Pharmapack Europe (13-14 October) - in addition to the already confirmed CPhI North America (10-12 August). All three events feature online content and matchmaking programmes, as well as live exhibitions.
CPhI Worldwide, the world’s largest pharma trade exhibition, will be hosted at Fiera Milano in Milan and brings every stage of the pharmaceutical supply chain together. Also making a return is Europe’s premier pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery event, Pharmapack Europe, which will be held at the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles.
CPhI reports that its largest exhibitors and attendees are using the next week to advance learnings and pre target the best partners, so that they have more time to concentrate on in person meetings in the second half of the year – with a large rebound of new business widely anticipated at the events.
