DNA Plc won the spectrum it pursued in the 700 MHz spectrum auction

DNA's winning bid for the spectrum totalled EUR 22 million. The licence fee will be paid in equal instalments during a five year period. The licence period is 17 years (1 February 2017 to 31 December 2033). 

 

DNA reinforces its mobile broadband operations in the 700 MHz spectrum. The new 700 MHz spectrum enables build-up of 4G capacity, particularly in sparsely populated areas.

 

The 700 MHz licence requires that an operator's 4G network covers 99 per cent of the population on mainland Finland within three years of the beginning of the licence period. DNA's 4G network already covers 99 per cent of the population primarily in the 1,800 MHz and 800 MHz spectrums.
