E-commerce continues to experience exponential growth in Europe and Latin America. Ticketbis.net, the Spanish platform for buying and selling tickets for events, ended 2012 with a turnover of more than 12 million Euros, double the amount than the previous year.

Ticketbis was founded only three years ago and is now present in twelve countries. It is the market leader in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Latin America. The year 2012 was a key year for the consolidation of the platform in the different countries and for the opening of the new markets with high growth potential, such as Russia and Germany which have multiplied their turnover in the past months.

In addition, the company has doubled its workforce in the last twelve months. The founders of Ticketbis, Jon Uriarte and Ander Michelena comment the following; "We have local professionals for all countries we operate in, to help us understand the behavior and the specific needs of each market. The employment of new talent has been fundamental for our growth and we will continue in the same way."

The company continues with an optimistic expansion plan for 2013

Whilst publishing its 2012 results, Ticketbis also announces that the company has already generated sales with a turnover of five million Euros in the first quarter of 2013, almost triple of the same time last year.

"2012 ended very well and we had an even better start this year. The results achieved so far, together with the anticipation of opening new powerful markets, give us the confidence that we can meet our targets for 2013," says Ander.

With Chile, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela, a new phase of internationalization begins, which will continue with various new openings later this year.
