The exhibition will feature specially commissioned taxidermy exhibits and handmade prints and photographs from local East Anglian artists and inspired by the surrounding rural area.  An outdoor sculpture trail from local sculptors and land artists will also be open to the public.  Throughout the month Slamseys Art will run special workshops in taxidermy and printing.

Slamseys Art's taxidermy tutor Elle Kaye says, "I do not view death as disgusting or offensive, and feel that all creatures are beautiful in death as well as life. Taxidermy is a way of recycling the animal, where death becomes a chance of rebirth".

Ruth Wheaton , the founder of Slamseys Art adds "This exhibition will be a unique opportunity to study animals that are normally hidden in our landscape and provide a starting point for our printing workshops.  Our workshops are perfect for beginners as well as practised artists and we hope that the taxidermy exhibition will provide some creative inspiration. "

Slamseys Art on a working farm near Braintree runs creative workshops and stages exhibitions in a converted grade II listed barn.
