Originally developed in the late 30s by Bausch & Lomb (the company behind the Ray-Ban brand) in coordination with pilot John Macready , the aviators have grown to become an iconic component of popular culture, with everyone from US General Douglas MacArthur to superstar Tom Cruise sporting them.
Each of these limited edition pairs has a unique number on the temple's inside, in addition to a hallmark engraving. They also come in a brown leather case that includes the Certificate of Authenticity as well as a unique product leaflet.
Only 1,200 pairs have been produced and Magrabi Optical has gotten its hands on 78 of them (with only 140 pairs available in the MENA region).
