Sydney Australia, (informazione.it - comunicati stampa - arte e cultura) Monumental sculpture Flower Power, by Italian artist Silvia Tuccimei, was selected in 2016 for the international exhibition Sculpture by the Sea, which is held every year in October-November in Sydney and whose last edition saw the participation of over 100 artists selected among a total of over 500 entries.

Silvia Tuccimei’s work is composed of 3 modules approx. 3 m wide made of mirrored stainless steel, for 800 kg in weight. Its production has been made possible thanks to the sponsorship of Italian OMCF, Florence, a company leader at international level in the manufacture of steel products. Over 20 people have worked at the creation of the sculpture.

Flower Power will be now permanently exhibited at the Italian Embassy in Canberra.

Silvia Tuccimei was born in Rome in 1960. In 1983 she obtained a diploma at the CSIA in Lugano, Switzerland and subsequently moved to Paris.
For over 25 years Silvia has explored this theme through painting and sculpture and established an international reputation that has her work in constant demand.

In 2013 Silvia’s work Passage Secret was exhibited at Sculpture by the Sea, and in March 2015 the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney hosted her solo exhibition titled Out of the Box.
