The chosen design, 'Tatersale', was originally created by Henri d'Origny in 1980 and has been re-edited in tribute to Her Majesty's love of horses. Four figurine horses, adorned with head-and-neck guards tied with bows, come face-to-face on a chequered blanket surrounded by a splendid display of bridles. Henri d'Origny has been designing for Hermès for over 50 years and his work includes many of their most iconic designs for scarves, ties and watches.
The Queen's Trust was established in 1977 to support small charities that enable and encourage young people to help others in direct and practical ways.
The 90cm square silk twill scarf, bearing the inscription, 'Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 90th Birthday 2016', will come in a new blue colouration and a limited quantity of 300.
