FLASH Entertainment Concludes Event Management and Production of Successful Mother of the Nation Festival 2017
FLASH Entertainment, the region's leading live events company, today has successfully completed the Mother of the Nation Festival 2017, which took place at the Abu Dhabi Corniche from 26 March to 4 April. Working in close coordination with organizers, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), the festival was fully produced by FLASH Entertainment.

The festival celebrated, commemorated and honoured the inspirational values of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, Chief Executive Officer of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Higher Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
Building on their involvement in 2016 for the inaugural Mother of the Nation Festival, FLASH was commissioned by TCA Abu Dhabi to conceptualise, design, produce and deliver the widely acknowledged festival on a 123,000 square meter area at the Abu Dhabi Corniche. More than 4,000 staff worked long days and nights to develop this interactive festival and bring to life its diverse elements including the engaging zones with more than 100 workshops and activities.

The Mother of the Nation Festival celebrates the progressive vision of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, showcasing the nation's inspirational values and efforts towards conservation and sustainability, while encouraging future generations to pursue a legacy of empowerment and responsibility.
Designed by FLASH in an updated footprint for 2017, the new festival site stretched 1km along the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Bringing something for everyone, the themes of conservation and sustainability were demonstrated throughout the different zones of the festival, as visitors were encouraged to follow an interactive "walk of progress". Embracing the spirit of collaboration and community, the festival showcased myriad fun activities, events and performances for all the family, in a diverse display of empowerment for all cultures.
The blend of community, outdoor and culturally diverse activities throughout the festival is testament to FLASH's dedication to create a celebration of modern accomplishments and forward-thinking innovation.

Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak is the wife of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan , the founding father of the United Arab Emirates . She has been a pioneer in supporting the efforts exerted towards women's empowerment and rights.
An ardent supporter and upholder of women empowerment, Sheikha Fatima believes that the empowerment of women is vital to the advancement of society. She has therefore always pursued the causes of women locally, regionally and internationally.

These efforts culminated in more than 500 awards and honours for Sheikha Fatima's outstanding dedication, thirty of which were bestowed by the UN.
