Chinese folk designs make their charming debut in Milan Design Week

Five-year-session exhibition shows the power of "Chinese elements" to the world

From YuhangRong Design Library hall, a total area of 400 square meters, is located in ZONA TORTONA , Milan , the core booth in the Milan design week .     

The name of the exhibition, "Rong", which means "Integration", is not only the name of the brand but also the indication of integrating "traditional culture" and "contemporary art ", the Chinese design thinking and foreign design thinking, the old materials and the new materials , the traditional crafts and the modern designs .

During the exhibition, 400 square-meter exhibition hall displays nearly 120 pieces of works. A number of Chinese most popular cutting-edge designers, for example, the curator Zhang Lei , the Chinese First Lady's jewelry designer Zhang Xiaochuan, the Red Dot Design Award winner, Pinyen-Creative inc. founder Luo Yufen, the Red Dot Design Award winner Zhang Junjie, Venice Biennale artist Li Gongbiao took part in the exhibition.

All the works are made of five Chinese traditional materials, bamboo, silk, earth, copper, paper. The exhibits manifest the second-to-none level of Chinese artists and also show the power of Chinese traditional elements to the world.

The highlight of the exhibition is the paper-cut garden located in the center of the exhibition hall. This "Secret Garden" with highly visual impact combines Chinese traditional paper-cut art and contemporary art techniques, and also the  green&health building concept. It is created by the exhibition sponsor, Grand Canal Place.

As a project deep-rooted in Hangzhou , since its birth, Grand Canal Place has the ultimate pursuit of art in its genes and keeps looking for opportunities for cross-border cooperation with art circle in the course of the development of the brand.
