IBA Group and Modern Art Museum Launch Exhibition of Collages and Assemblages by Hanns Baum, German Artist and Former IBM Representative at IBA

The foundation of his creative works is a formal experiment with objects of everyday use and fragments of reality. When building a composition, the artist uses collages, combinations of different objects, and stratifications. He pays special attention to texture, which is actually a basis of the collage technique. Hanns integrates, transforms, and gives new life to objects. With regard to collages and assemblages by Mr. Baum, one can speak of deliberate manipulations on a flat surface. As a result, a pseudo style, pseudo beauty, and a pseudo work of art are created.
