With just a few weeks until the royal baby is due, Adobe has created an e-card for well-wishers to sign congratulating the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their impending new arrival. At the same time Adobe hopes to set a new Guinness World Record by collecting more than 50,000 signatures, using Adobe EchoSign.

The imagery for the card has been designed by top designer Wayne Hemingway who supported the royals last year when working on designs for her Majesty the Queen's Jubilee.

Adobe's director of marketing for EMEA, Emma Chalwin, commented: "Following the excitement of the royal wedding a couple of years ago, people in the UK, and across the globe, have eagerly awaited the new prince or princess's arrival, so we wanted to create an easy way for everyone to wish them well."

All well-wishers need to do is enter their name, country of residence and select their congratulations message.

Wayne Hemingway, Hemingway Design, said: "The idea behind the vintage cut out paper dolls design was taken from our museum 'The Land of Lost Content', which is full of items representing British popular culture. It's a light-hearted card and we had a lot of fun thinking what a royal doll would look like in a fake fur robe or pushing around a toy corgi on wheels. We think that this may be first time a paper doll has been designed for the royal family and I hope they like it and get their craft scissors out."

By collecting the signatures online, the public will be able to experience the speed and ease of e-signatures firsthand.
