Swedish Motorcycle Police to Wear Jofama

Since 1926, Jofama has been a world leader in the development of protective material and security clothing for motorcyclists. Security tests show, both in Sweden and other countries, that Jofama's brands are among the safest available, and now the Swedish police have chosen quality Swedish clothes.

"We have once again received the recognition that we are one of the few brands in the world that meets the very high requirements for this category of user," says Peter Eriksson, responsible for Jofama mc-clothes.

Jofama develops and manufactures the motorcycling clothing brands Halvarssons, Lindstrands and Jofama, and was the first company in the world to offer a complete set of CE-approved mc-clothes. Jofama has also developed Hi-Art, High Abrasion Resistant Textile, a textile material which is used on exposed areas in many of the items from Jofama.

Jofama will provide 300 trained Swedish police motorcycle riders with protective equipment for two years, with a possible renewal. It amounts to about 100 sets per year, worth about 1 million SEK. The products come from the standard consumer range, offering the possibility of making special adjustments depending on individual requirements

Those who come face to face with the Swedish mc-police will see leather/textile Safir Safir with functional membrane and Hi-Art, and a Proton protective jacket used under the uniform jacket, including the Buckler back protector.

"This contract shows that our mc-clothes are world leading. We provide police, medics and military in different countries and also ordinary, happy motorcyclists with our safe clothes, through more than 500 retailers in Europe," says Peter Eriksson.
