Indulge the Senses this Summer with a Shopping Tour of Europe
This summer, the Village Collection by Value Retail, the leading luxury outlet shopping destinations in Europe , will treat guests to a host of innovative experiences inspired by the very best of European culture. Additionally, a selection of Shopping Packages have been created to complement the Villages' theme for the season. Bicester Village hails the Best of British this summer with a fusion of fashion, art and music. On 20 May the British Designers' Collective - the phenomenally popular annual pop-up boutique held in partnership with the British Fashion Council that showcases the collections of the UK's most exciting design talent - returns for its sixth year for a limited six-week run.
Kildare Village, in association with ID2015, presents 'In the Fold', an exhibition of emerging Irish design talent. Discover a complementary programme of fashion and design workshops including a millinery workshop (9 May), 'The Craft of Weaving' (23 May) and 'Sustainability of Fashion' (14 May).
Until 5 July, guests to La Vallée Village can immerse themselves in a visual, auditory and olfactory journey through the interactive art gallery 'La Table Des Matiers', orchestrated by artist Mathilde de l'Ecotais.
On Friday 5 June and Saturday 15 August, shop until midnight at Wertheim Village. Discover live music and sweet treats including a candyfloss shop and a spring confectionery harlequin, who will be spreading the fairy-tale spirit. A balloon artist will also be in the Village creating unique gifts.
Ingolstadt Village celebrates its tenth anniversary with an innovative installation of three suspended 'fashion bubbles', which will serve as exhibition cases for themes that will evolve over the summer. The Village will also host an exhibition of photographer Melvin Sokolsky , entitled 'Revival of 1963 shoot in Paris' .
During May, Maasmechelen Village sponsors 'The Night of the Palmarès', during which guests can discover an exhibition of the festival in the Village. From 14 to 17 May, with every purchase, guests can enter a draw to win flights to European destinations including Corsica, Italy and France , and from June to August, a 'travel agency' in partnership with Liège Airport will open in the Village, where guests can purchase flight tickets and special packages. The Summer Lounge launches on 19 June, a unique space where guests can enjoy cocktails, music and a St Tropez-style atmosphere.
Fidenza Village will transform into 'The Embassy of Made in Italy ' for the duration of EXPO Milan 2015, a showcase of Italian art, fashion, gastronomy and design developed in collaboration with a host of prestigious partners and ambassadors. A programme of multisensory experiences will unfold over the summer from May onwards, inspired by three typically Italian themes: 'Romantic Opera' (May − June), 'La Dolce Vita' (July - August), and 'Italian Passion' (September − October).
Guests to La Roca Village can experience an authentic taste of Catalonia with a gastro-market offering regional fare. The market, which will be in the Village from 15 June to 30 August, will boast a selection of the best Catalonian gourmet produce for guests to taste and take home.
From June to September, sample Spanish street food, regional fare, cocktails, live music and more. Discover the best sunset in Madrid on the picturesque Summer Terrace .
For those making the trip to China , Suzhou Village will launch 'Shopping with the Stars' this month, a unique retail experience that draws upon the energy and creativity of contemporary rock music and its influence on shaping fashion over the decades. Boutiques of international and European brands will showcase their exclusive 'star' products and rock-inspired designs. From 9 May to 26 June, the Village will be transformed into a stage for inspiring fashion, art and music, with live performances from three of China's most exciting Chinese indie-rock bands, DJ sets, an interactive art installation by celebrated Chinese artist Yang Zhenzhong and gastronomic delights made famous by rock and roll.
