The ninth edition of Women for Progress-Supporting the World will be held in Apulia.
The cultural association In Progress of Taranto, in collaboration with the F.A.I. (Italian Environment Fund), the IEO-Monzino Foundation of Milan, and the Inner Wheel Club of Tricase-Leuca has defined the details of the event that will take place from 15 to 25 September.
The event has received the moral patronage of the Italian Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, the U.N.A.R. (Anti-Discrimination Department of the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers) and the Governor of the Apulia, Michele Emiliano.
This year the crowning ceremony of Miss Progress International, as always broadcast live streamed, will take place at Scorrano, a nice little town near Lecce, on Saturday 23 September (20.30, Italian time).
The Ambassadors of Progress will arrive in Brindisi on 15 September and, for ten days, they will be accompanied, together with the other members of the delegations from the five continents, to discover the southernmost part of the Heel of Italy, to get to know its natural beauty, history and best wine and food traditions, thanks also to the collaboration of the pro-loco of Leuca.
The comfortable Messapia Hotel & Resort in Leuca will welcome the multi-ethnic group and be the venue for several appointments in the program, which will end on Monday 25 September, with the return of the foreign guests to their countries of origin.
"As always," says the president of In Progress, Giusy Nobile,
"we will offer our guests a truly immersive experience, under the banner of cultural integration, which has always been one of the objectives of our mission.”.
Among the many activities, one of the most eagerly awaited is certainly the interview with the Jury that will evaluate the projects on Environment, Health and Human Rights proposed by the contestants. In doing so, it will determine the best one in terms of content and feasibility, decreeing the winner of the 2023 edition who will succeed
Francesca Speranza, the young lawyer from Caserta who last year made it possible for the first time in the history of the event to see Italy on the top step of the podium.
