Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Welcomes Art Enthusiasts to London for One of the Most Exciting Events in the Art World's Calendar
Somerset House is a popular venue for art events, however the Pick Me Up Contemporary Graphic Art Fair is certainly one of the most vibrant! The fair returns in 2013 for a fourth year and showcases the most innovative graphic artists, collectives and galleries from across the world. Each of the exhibitors at the show has been selected by a specialist panel, whose aim is to represent the best of international contemporary graphic art. This year's extras include workshops given by the artist in residence, who changes each year. Previous artists in residence have included Rob Ryan , Anthony Burrill and the Peepshow Collective. There will also be a Shaun the Sheep model-making workshop, comedy cartoonists Modern Toss and a pop-up nail art bar.
In addition, visitors in need of advice on their own work can go to the Portfolio Surgery, which is run by illustrators Josie Sullen and Zara Wood . Children are also kept entertained at the event, where the best illustrators in the world will get creative in front of the kids, and help them to get inspired to create their own work.
