Women in Business: Greek Export Award for Child-Friendly Nail Polishes

Safe 'N' Beautiful, creators of 'Snails', the world's first non-toxic, washable nail polishes for kids, has won a prestigious Greek Exports Award 2014. Held at a gala dinner on the closing night of the Greek Exports Conference, the awards honour companies that have achieved outstanding success in penetrating international markets and which contribute to boosting productivity, competitiveness and employment in the Greek economy.

Founded by British entrepreneur Jeanette Sklivanou just three years ago, the company has carved out a specialist niche in the global market of cosmetics for kids. Its washable and safe nail collections have achieved a record 496% growth in sales this year alone which its founder attributes to growing concern over the safety of conventional nail polishes and removers.

The award in the New Export Business category celebrates the success of its eco-friendly Snails signature line of polishes and the newly launched S'N'B Wash Off luxury range for women. Now available in over 965 retail, duty free and online outlets across 38 countries, the constantly evolving collections feature fashion-forward polishes and nail care treatments.

The Snails collection will be showcased at the renowned Spielwarenmesse, the world's largest, important event for the toy sector. Held in Nuremberg from 28 January through 02 February 2015, the Safe 'N Beautiful will be exhibiting in Hall 5, stand D-73.

Recently named as one of the 40 under 40's most successful business people in Greece, Jeanette's journey into the cosmetics industry was prompted by her concern over the safety of ingredients used in polishes and removers by her young daughters. She has led the company from a small start-up to an internationally known brand that delivers safer alternatives to conventional nail varnishes. Numerous new lines are soon to be unveiled - inluding a new Spa line of nail care treatment products for use by professionals.
