Il "chapter 11" (capitolo 11) è un dispositivo che prevede la riorganizzazione del business, con asset e debiti societari al riparo dai creditori. Il "terremoto" in Canada e Stati Uniti fortunatamente non coivolge le altre principali zone, a livello globale, dove opera l'azienda, ossia Europa, Australia e Nuova Zelanda. In un contesto simile fa comunque scalpore la bancarotta della Hertz, il secondo gruppo al mondo nel noleggio, in Canada e negli Stati Uniti.
