Unveiling the Serie A 2024/2025: Key Dates and New Logo

The much-anticipated Serie A 2024/2025 season is set to kick off on the weekend of August 17-18, 2024. The schedule for the upcoming season was unveiled on July 4, 2024, at the RDS Multimedia Auditorium in Rome.

The season will commence in mid-August, with the second and third rounds scheduled for the subsequent weekends of the same month. The championship will conclude on May 25, 2025. The season will be punctuated by four breaks to accommodate Nations League matches and World Cup 2026 qualifiers. These breaks are scheduled for September 8, 2024; October 13, 2024; November 17, 2024; and March 23, 2025.

The Serie A will continue to use the asymmetric calendar introduced in the 2021/2022 season. This means that the order of matches in the return round will not replicate that of the first round. However, there must be at least eight rounds of distance between the first and return match of each challenge.

The main compilation criterion ensures the alternation of home and away matches for the following teams: Inter-Milan, Lazio-Roma, Juventus-Torino, and Empoli-Fiorentina.

The Coppa Italia will commence on August 4 with the first preliminary round and conclude with the final on May 14. There will be no Christmas break in the championship, but four breaks are planned: September 8, October 13, November 17, and March 23, 2025. The only midweek round will be on Wednesday, October 30.

In a ceremony at the Gazometro in Rome, attended by almost all Serie A clubs, the new logo of the Italian championship was officially unveiled. The logo, designed by Enilive, features the Serie A symbol accompanied by a dog, the classic brand of the Italian multinational. However, due to space constraints, the six legs are absent, replaced by the symbol of the turn in place of the red flame. This image reflects the branch of Eni dedicated to developing sustainable and renewable energy projects.
