German tuna, mackerels and sardines "LaPerla" by Otto Franck now Friend of the Sea labeled

Tuna, sardines and mackerels from the leading German importer under LaPerla brand, canned for Otto Franck Import KG, have positively undergone chain of custody audit for the European pilchard (Sardina pilchardus Walbaum), Mackerel (Scombrus scomber) and Skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) from approved Friend of the Sea suppliers. LaPerla products from Friend of the Sea origin can now carry the Friend of the Sea seal of approval.

An international independent certification body assessed Otto Franck chain of custody based on an accurate documental and onsite analysis which enables to trace every single can back to the approved fleet. The storage management system in place assures that no mixing between FOS and NON FOS products occurs.
