On 13 August 1961, twenty-one Hagen Koch, cartographer and member of the Stasi, was called by his superior, who gave him a bucket of white paint, a brush and ordered him to buy a new pair of boots. His mission was to draw on the soil of the route of Berlin the Berlin Wall, which would soon divided the city.
Leaning over the brush, one foot to the east, the other to the west, the boy devoted to his job for almost 50 km. It was the beginning of three decades of fear and hate, partly told by the East Side Gallery mural gathered in this photos collection for interior design.

Consuelo Zemello
She lives and works in Venice. She studied engineering "playing" with numbers and is trying to direct her needs of rationality - which knows no faith - towards work. In her free time she loves to travel and capture images, responding to an innate need for escape and research. Thus her passions: numbers in a row in order to understand, the lens between her eyes and the world. Among various projects related to photography, in 2008 she published the four-handed book "Tampyti", investigating possible contamination between writing and images. Her still life and abstract pictures are the backdrop for a series of short stories. The purpose is: to turn into forms the emotions arising from reading stories. One of this photos was selected by photographer Claudio Abate and published on the website of the Mart, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto.
