La cerimonia di consegna della 51esima edizione dei grammy Awrds, sarà trasmessa in diretta, ed in esclusiva per l’Italia da Music Box, il canale satellitare interattivo, in onda su Sky 717 nella notte fra l'8 e il 9 febbraio allo Staples Center di Los Angeles.

Il rapper Lil Wayne (conosciuto anche come Weezy F. Baby, Birdman Jr., Raw Tunes, all'anagrafe Dwayne Michael Carter) ha ricevuto ben otto nomination.
A seguire i Coldplay con sette nomination.
Subito dopo, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo e Kanye West con sei nomination. Alison Krauss, John Mayer, Robert Plant, Radiohead e Jazmine Sullivan, cinque nomination ognuno.
Adele, Danger Mouse, Eagles, Lupe Fiasco, George Strait, e T.I. hanno ricevuto quattro nomination ciascuno.
