I-am becomes Hexagon Gold Partner, strengthening its leadership in the EAM

I-am, the company part of Altea Federation specializing in Asset Management Solutions, and technologies for infrastructure monitoring, has obtained the prestigious Hexagon Gold Partner Certification, thanks to its deep knowledge: from design to Operations & Maintenance and Asset Remediation, and due to its expertise in emerging technologies (BIM, IoT, Artificial Intelligence) and engineering.

The cooperation between I-am and Hexagon follows the conclusion of the transaction, which at the end of 2021 saw Infor sell the global EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) business to the Swedish group Hexagon AB. Starting from January 2022, I-am has expanded its offering, acquiring the Enterprise Asset Management business unit from Altea IN.

The Engineering & Construction industry and the water system infrastructures will be increasingly affected by modernization and redevelopment interventions, with a decisive boost brought by the Italian PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan). Interventions that on the one hand, see the need to implement the most innovative technologies, from advanced sensors to IoT solutions, from BIM (Building Information Modeling) to Intelligent Asset Management applications, and on the other hand, the enhancement of the engineering know-how to understand data. It’s a human-tech combination that characterizes Altea Federation.

I-am has been established shortly before the pandemic event by the union of intentions and vision of Andrea Ruscica, Altea Federation President and Strategy Lead, and Domenico Andreis, I-am CEO and General Manager. Graduated in naval and mechanical engineering, a great expert in the infrastructure sector, Andreis has twenty years of expertise gained both as director of the Italian Naval Registry and in multinational groups operating in Engineering & Construction. Because of this deep knowledge of the Italian infrastructure system, Altea Federation launched the program “Follow the Growth,” which is led by I-am.

At Domenico Andreis’ side is Enza Fumarola, Chief Customer Officer of Altea Federation. Fumarola has in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management gained in Altea IN and, before that, in Infor. In I-am, she aims to lead the development of the EAM business in the enterprise market and expand the ecosystem of partners in Italy.
