Cruelty to animals in Lanusei: minors face charges for throwing kitten off bridge

In the town of Lanusei, a shocking act of animal cruelty has sparked widespread condemnation. A group of minors filmed themselves throwing a kitten off a bridge, a fall of several meters, and then posted the video on social media. The horrific act has led to a wave of outrage and disgust.

Environmental associations have already filed complaints against the young perpetrator. Among them are the Lida - Olbia section represented by President Cosetta Prontu and "Zampe che danno una Mano" Odv. Through their lawyer, Giada Bernardi of the Rome Bar, they have filed a complaint with the Cagliari Prosecutor's Office against the authors of the brutal killing of the kitten.

Public figures have also expressed their shock and anger. Michela Vittoria Brambilla, president of the Italian League for Animal and Environmental Defense, described the incident as shameful. "As an animal rights activist, as a mother and president of the Commission for Childhood and Adolescence, I cannot even think that a boy has been filmed while, proud, he throws a kitten from a bridge, amid the laughter and amusement of the two friends who were with him," she said.

The video quickly went viral on social media, drawing attention to the incident. Elisabetta Canalis, a well-known showgirl and animal rights activist, expressed her anger on Instagram. She criticized the minor who was filmed throwing the black kitten off an elevated road, questioning the example set by the law in such cases.
